Buracona Cave

Reef Ponta do Farol

Reef Tchuklasta
A magnificent oceanic reef that extends from 15 to 36 m deep and is covered with bright yellow polyps. Here you can see spectacular underwater scenes of hunting tuna, meet 120-cm green turtles, wide yellowtail, parrotfish, flutter, hummingbird, barracuda, skates and a pack of "surgeons". Blue room
The blue room is located just 182 m from the shore and represents an uneven wall with many holes and reefs. There are groupers and moray eels, yellowtails, barracudas and other deep-sea fish. The vaulted walls of the reef are covered with bright yellow polyps. Nearby, on the surface are salt lakes in the crater of the volcano Pedra de Lume, where you can go on a trip after diving. Palmiera (Pesqueiro Ti Culao)
A 300-meter dive site is located off the western rocky coast of Sal Island, north of Porto de Palmeira. In the local underwater rocks there are many small caves (9-12 m) and black basaltic fjords. This is an ideal place for diving from the shore, where you can see: parrotfishes and flutters, and at a depth of about 18 meters - a needle crab. The site is suitable for diving at any time of the year. Depth: 23 m, distance from the shore - not less than 12 m.
Rack Santo Antao
The dry cargo ship Santo Antao sank on January 8, 1966, as a result of a collision with an underwater reef. The length of the ship is 40 m, until some time it remained in a relatively "good" condition, however a strong storm in 1993 severely damaged the hull of the ship. Here our shelter is a huge flock of fish: trigger-fish, fish-hedgehog, flutoral, glass-eyes, eel, barracuda, parrotfish. This site is good for beginners and experienced divers. Maximum depth: 12 m.
Rack Demfior
The Danish merchant ship Demfior crashed on the rocks off the east coast of Sal Island shortly after World War II. The site of the shipwreck has not been studied well enough, but it is known that the ship carried a load of cocoa beans. Relatively well preserved two massive ship's machines. The ship was chosen by colorful small fish, sea mollusks and hundreds of needle crabs. Maximum depth: 12 m.
