Villa in Cyprus: how to buy?
Choosing the right option, you must pay a deposit (1-2%) and sign a contract for reservation of real estate. Then the buyer's lawyer checks all the information about the villa and makes a contract (contract), actually a contract of sale. When signing it, part of the purchase amount is paid, after which the lawyer sends a contract and a copy of the passport of the future owner to the Council of Ministers. They issue a preliminary purchase permit, which is confirmed in the District Land Registry.
Then a request is sent to the Central Bank to confirm that payments are made in foreign currency. As a result, after the completion of cash settlements with the seller and payment of stamp and registration fees, all documents collected are sent to the Regional Land Registry. After about 2 weeks, the seller and the buyer finally complete the transaction by transferring the buyer the right to free possession of the property - title.
