After a holiday in Turkey and Egypt, Cyprus may seem not the cheapest resort. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants for two will cost about 30-50 EUR. Meat dish costs from 9 to 16 EUR (fish will be more expensive), salad 4-6 EUR, wine about 10-15 EUR per bottle. You can order a meze, one for two, because one will not be able to eat it. Meze is a set of different national dishes, cold and hot. They can be meaty (about 20-25 EUR for the whole set), fish (from 30 euros), or mixed.

The products in the supermarket are much cheaper, our tourists especially praise the Orphanides chain of stores. Meat there costs 4-5 EUR per 1 kg, fish 7-8 EUR, pineapples about 1.5 EUR, potatoes - 50 cents, wine - 3-5 EUR per bottle.

Wine is often taken from Cyprus as a souvenir. In addition to it, traditional magnets are bought for 1-2.5 EUR, olive soap (about 1 EUR per piece), olives and olives (from 1 EUR per pack), leather goods (from 4-5 EUR and above), silver jewelery (from 10 -15 euros).

The main transport of the island is buses (1 euro ticket) and a taxi. In a taxi, landing is charged (3.5-4.5 EUR depending on the time of day) and mileage (75-85 cents per km).
