Climate of the Marquesas Islands
Because of the relatively high mountains, the weather in the Marquesas Islands is slightly more humid and windy than on the islands of the Society and Tuamot.
Beaches
The western coast of Nuku-Khiva is characterized by a steep ascent, and the coast line is rugged by bays. The eastern coast of the island takes the main blow from the sea: the elements are raging here. The northern part is riddled with deeper bays, the most famous of which are Anaho and Hatiheu.
The southern coast is also riddled with bays, but to a lesser degree.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions
