You can fly to the island by plane, there are quite a few large airports that accept both local and international flights - in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Solo and Jogjakarta. The sides of the local Garuda, Merpati and Lion Air, as well as AirAsia, Cathay Pacific, JAL, etc., regularly land here. From Moscow it is most convenient to arrive by "regular" through Dubai.
Even before Java can be reached by water. Ferries from North Sumatra and Western Kalimantan arrive to Jakarta, to Surabaya from Southern Sulawesi and Madura, to Banten from South Sumatra, and to East Java from Bali.

Transport
Now the infrastructure in Java is considered the best in Indonesia and you should not have any problems with transport. However, do not forget about the population density and be ready for huge crowds during peak hours.
Buses are the most convenient and cheapest form of transport in Java, which is equally suitable for small trips around the city, and for traveling from one end of the island to another. The fare is from 2000 to 5000 IDR. Train tickets are somewhat more expensive, but railways are the best in the country.
Toll roads on the island are almost equal to European ones, and travel by them is quite inexpensive, so if you have the right, it will be quite convenient to rent a car. However, there are few signs on the roads, and local motorists have an extremely suicidal style of driving. If you are not quite sure of your abilities, you can pay a bit and in addition to the car you can get a personal driver.
Climate
Java has a tropical climate and throughout the year there are almost no noticeable temperature changes. On the island, only two seasons are clearly pronounced: from November to February, rains are raining here, and the rest is dry. Humidity on the entire island is quite high - usually 75-95%, and the temperature is held at + 26-29 ° C year round.
You can visit Java absolutely at any time - nothing is happening with climate here that could interfere with pleasant rest. See also the current weather forecast for Jakarta, the capital of Java, for 10 days.
Kitchen
In general, the cuisine of Java is fully adapted to European tastes and is considered the most non-exotic in the whole of Indonesia. The main ingredients of local dishes are vegetables, beans, chicken, beef and rice, which is a part of most recipes. In addition, the island in huge quantities used a variety of fresh fruits. The most delicious and most traditional food can be found (as it usually happens) in small cafes, in which prices are quite low, and most visitors are local residents.
Of the drinks most popular juice made from sugar cane, ginger tea, beer "tuak", produced from palm flowers, and local palm vodka, called "arak."
