Expert reviews for the hotel of Israel

 Israel hotels - $
Ekaterina Kuklina зам. head of the foreign department "Roses of the Winds of the World"
In Israel there is no official graduation of hotels by stars, classes, etc. When publishing prices and descriptions of hotels, each is assigned a conditional classification in the stars, which is set by the tour operator on the basis of the services provided by the hotel, its location, the status of the rooms, and also on a personal acquaintance with the hotel.

Israel has a fairly weak hotel base 150 hotels all over the country. And many hotels (mostly from the 3/3 + * category) are not large, no more than 50-60 numbers, especially in Netanya.

Lately, many new (or updated) hotel-boutique and apart-hotel.

In hotels of the center of the country (Tel Aviv, Netanya, Jerusalem) there are not always swimming pools. If the pools are, then, as a rule, they are open and working only in season (April / May to October / November). Exceptions - high category hotels 5/5 + * (not all!)

Dead Sea and Eilat hotels have 99% of the pools equipped with pools, often heated in the winter months.

The main feature of Israel hotels is that, that almost all hotels provide only kosher food, which implies:

  • the absence of products such as pork, seafood, certain types of fish, black caviar and some others in the menu,
  • not the possibility of combining dairy and meat products.

As a consequence: all breakfasts in hotels are always dairy (using also fish products), and lunches and dinners are meat (without the addition of dairy products). This applies to hotels operating on the "all inclusive" system. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners in Israeli hotels are usually a "Swedish" table.

Another feature is the meeting of Sabbath (Saturday) in hotels: in many hotels a part of elevators on Saturday works on a special "Shabbat" schedule (automatic stop on each floor). In many hotels, due to the end of Sabbath on Saturday, there is a late check inn and a late check out.

Another feature is the beaches of the 3 seas that are in Israel: there are no private private beaches in Israel, any hotel can go to any beach, with payment for a lounger, an umbrella, etc. In addition, in Netanya and Tel Aviv all beaches are municipal and even if the hotel is on the first line, with a direct access to the beach, the guests of this hotel still pay for the use of a sunbed and an umbrella.

Conditional distribution of cities (and hotels) in Israel depending on the category of tourists:

  • Netanya - a quiet holiday at sea, combined with excursions for families with children. Netanya is a small resort town in the center of the country, with sandy beaches and convenient location relative to the main Israeli attractions. There are aparthotels where all the rooms of 2 or 3-room suites, allowing to accommodate up to 6 people in the room, for example Ramada, Island.
  • Tel Aviv is a city that never sleeps: a wonderful holiday for young people, thanks to a wide variety of night clubs, discos, etc., as well as interesting shopping in various shopping centers of the city. For students there are quite inexpensive hotels, while conveniently located (for example, Gil Gal, Sea Net). At the same time, Tel Aviv is very convenient for businessmen who come to the center of the country for business meetings. Many new boutique hotels. Many hotels in the city offer free Wi-Fi, including in rooms (for example, Atlas Hotels).
  • In Jerusalem, of course, it will be interesting for everyone. There are hotels for every taste, from the cheapest 2 + * (located near the Old Town), to the highest level hotels, where presidents and governmental delegations stopping to arrive in Israel.
  • Dead Sea hotels offer rest and recreation for everyone - and for those who came just to be treated, and for those who just want to relax, take sea baths and do some cosmetic procedures..Almost all hotels are equipped with a SPA complex and have a beach (their own or their hotel's own network), to which (in case the hotel is on the second line) there is a constant free delivery in the daytime by special transport ("tuk-tuk") ±$ br >.There are hotels, beaches which are specially equipped for patients with limited mobility (for example, Isrotel Dead Sea) .
  • Eilat: rest on the sea all year round, for all - 360 days of sunshine a year. You can find hotels for all tastes, from the most economical, to hotels for VIP tourists (for example, Royal Beach, Dan Eilat, Herods), as well as comfortable hotels for families with children (for example, Royal Gardes, Le Meridien Eilat, that all rooms are 2 or 3 rooms). Almost all hotels have swimming pools (or a swimming pool system), some of them are heated in winter. Several hotels offer their guests water slides (for example, Isrotel Princess, Royal Gardens).
