Can I get a visa to Japan if you do not fly through the tour operator, but book the hotel and tickets yourself? Who then acts as an inviting party?

Responds Maria Shestakova, company Bambooclub
In order to obtain a visa to Japan, a guarantor from the Japanese side is necessarily needed. Without such a guarantor, you will not be given a visa.

If you do not have friends or relatives who can make an invitation, you need to find a guarantor firm. But not any company will agree to act as such, as the Japanese Foreign Ministry very strictly checks such companies, and in case of violation by the tourist of the program of stay, the guarantor company can even deprive the license.

If you have independently booked hotels and tickets, you need to apply in the firm, which will help to issue an invitation. This service is paid and costs about 18,000 JPY.
