The easternmost island of the Canary archipelago is preparing to host a cheese fair that will take place from February 28 to March 1, 2015 Within the framework of the event, visitors will be able to try and purchase any varieties of Canary Island cheese.
The fair in Lanzarote is one of the most important for the cheese-makers of the whole world. In 2014 prestigious prizes were awarded to several varieties of Lanzarote cheese. In particular, the cheesemakers from Tinache and Tahaste were noted.
In addition to cheese at the fair, it will be possible to taste and purchase other traditional products and wines for the island. To entertain visitors will be musicians who will play traditional music.
