Nordstan is the largest shopping center in Sweden, with approximately 150 stores under one roof, and is located near the Central Station. The Swedish giants of retail trade are concentrated here, for example: H & M, Åhléns, Twilfit (women's and children's clothes) and Hemtex (interior decoration). Pyret are considered high quality.
Innerstaden consists of shopping streets Fredsgatan, Kungsgatan, Magasingatan, Östrahamngatan, Västra Hamngatan and Södra Hamngatan.
On Магазиekhopatan it is worth to go for novelties in the field of fashion and design, interior and gifts. There are a lot of fashion boutiques, shops, cafes, galleries and shopping arcades here. The boutique Méli de Mélo (accessories, jewelry, antiques and flowers), Vilda Änglar (interior items from France and Denmark) and Norrgavel (high-quality furniture fittings and lighting fixtures) are popular. For fans of the unusual: second-hand Miss Ragtime and stylish store Mouche on Sodra-Larmgatan street.
Avenyn (Avenyn) - the main artery of the city, the street-showcase of Gothenburg. There are 200 retail shops and department stores, cafes and restaurants. Here there are youth and bohemian shops of young Swedish designers, handicrafts, antiques, sound recordings.
In addition, it is necessary to take a stroll (if not in search of products, at least in search of bright photos) at the famous fish market "Feskechka", which is located in the building of the former warehouse, something reminiscent of the church. There is also a popular fish restaurant "Gabriel".
Another excellent food market is Saluakhallen, opened in 1889.

Gothenburg Parks
Gothenburg is a very, very green city. One of the favorite places for walking around the local is the Slottskugen Park, located in the southeastern part of the city near the Linne district. A large part of it is covered with forest, and from the three high points of the park, breathtaking panoramas of the city open. The park has a cafe and restaurant, as well as a zoo and a theme park with representatives of the northern fauna.
For the wild nature it is worth to go to the eastern part of Gothenburg - to the National Reserve of Delsche. It is adjoined by two lakes (Big and Small) with tree-clad rocky cliffs.
The more well-groomed Botanical Garden in the northern part of the city is one of the best in Europe. At 175 hectares, over 20,000 plant species are represented here. Separately popular is the "garden of stones" (received in the "Green Guide" Michelin three stars) and "Japanese lawn." Impressive collection of wild rhododendrons and orchids (about 1600 species). A special exhibit in the park is the Easter tree from Easter Island.
Part of the botanical garden is also the park "Traddordsdorfeningen", which is located next to the canal in the center of Gothenburg. In summer, performances, concerts and shows are often held here.
For children
In the amusement park Liseberg, the largest in Northern Europe, children can ride on 35 attractions, for example: the Baldur slides, which are recognized as the best roller coaster in the world made of wood, as well as the spectacular attraction "Kanunen" ("Cannon"). @
Children will definitely enjoy the Universion Museum of Science and Technology, where you can not only explore the underwater worlds of the Baltic Sea or the tropical oceans, but also experiment with robotics and satellite communications, as well as watch bloodthirsty leeches. In the park "Slottskugen" is worth visiting a miniature zoo, or go to the water entertainment center in Mölndale or in Lerum.
