How to get to Dar es Salaam

The airport of Julian Nyerere International Airport has two terminals: the old one (Terminal 1) and the new one (Terminal 2). The new one accepts international flights from Europe, Asia and Africa. The old terminal serves local flights, for example, from Arusha or Zanzibar.

The international railway service exists only through the TAZARA line. Trains run between Dar es Salaam and Lusaka, the capital of Zambia (departure from Dar-es-Salaam on Tues and Fri).

Beaches of Dar es Salaam

In the city, if it is not the beaches of hotels, it is not recommended to swim: it is dirty, not equipped, and there is a risk to remain without your belongings.
