Booked a tour to Thailand, and the passport is valid for less than 6 months. Do the new rules for entry into Thailand with a passport valid for less than 6 months apply?

The information that the validity of the passport is no longer important was given by "Thai Airlines" and, most likely, this rule is valid only for passengers of "Thai Airlines" who will take a guarantee of the stay of tourists in Thailand.
