Can I apply for an annual work visa directly from my employer while in Turkey?

Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
According to the Turkish labor legislation, a foreign citizen can not apply for a work visa directly in Turkey, if there is no temporary residence permit for at least 6 months. Even if you, in Turkey, receive confirmation from the employer for employment, you must leave the country to apply for a work visa and apply to the Turkish consulate in Russia on a general basis. Term for processing applications in the consulate is 10 working days.

If the future foreign employee has a residence permit for a period of at least 6 months (valid at the time of application), the application and documents for obtaining a work visa can be submitted directly to the Ministry of Labor of Turkey. In this case, the originals must be entered in the Ministry within 6 working days from the day of filing the application (submitted only in electronic form)

Package of documents for working visa:

  • completed visa application form with a quality photo,
  • photocopy of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation,
  • the original of the employment contract (contract) with the Turkish company, or the original invitation from the employer, printed on a letterhead.

In doing so, do not forget about the restrictions on the presence on the territory of the country of a Russian citizen without a visa under the current visa-free regime: observe the 30-day limit of stay. For its excess, a fine is to be paid (if the limit is violated for less than 15 days) and even a ban on entry into the country for a period of 1 month to 5 years with its significant excess.
