Nevada (Nevada) - one of the most arid states of the US, located between California and Utah. Most tourists who want to play gambling, see different shows and pamper themselves with local cuisine, visit only Reno, Tahoe and, of course, Las Vegas, but if desired, a trip to this state can be more exciting than any western - in addition, the nature of Nevada also deserves attention, because you will not find anything of the kind in other parts of North America, either in Europe or in Asia.

The McCarran International Airport, located in Las Vegas, arrives many domestic and international flights. And if you plan to travel to Nevada from another state in America, you can also fly to Reno-Tahoe International Airport, one of the largest airports in the state that accepts domestic flights only. There is also an airport in Carson City, the capital of Nevada, but it is quite small and you will probably find it difficult to find a convenient flight.
By bus
There are buses from several companies in different cities of Nevada - Greyhound , LuxBus and Starline Tours - routes that cover almost the entire territory of the United States, so you can certainly find the bus that suits you.

Climate
Nevada has a dry continental climate and is almost always very sunny Most of the state is located in the desert, so in summer the daytime temperature can rise to + 50C, and in the winter at nightfall to -10C . But most of the time the climate is rather mild - the average temperature in summer is + 35 ... 40, and in winter - 0 ... -2 C.
Cuisine
In Las Vegas, Tahoe and Reno there are a huge number of restaurants capable of satisfying absolutely any gastronomic whim, outside these cities the cuisine is mostly Mexican or American. The European is modestly represented by the works of the Italians, and again - only in large cities.
Because of the extremely dry climate, Meat dishes predominate, and fruits and some vegetables in Nevada are very difficult to grow, which, of course, affects their price and affordability.
Nevada is one of the states with the most loyal laws relating to alcohol (of course, if you are already 21 years old and you are not with Biran get behind the wheel). Most shops and bars have a huge assortment of different alcoholic beverages and work round the clock without a weekend - and some of them did not close at all even for more than 40 years. Many bars in the state are combined with a casino - at least there are slot machines in almost everyone, and in some you can offer free drinks if you play.

Entertainments, excursions and attractions of Nevada
Visit the National Park of the Great Basin, not too popular, but surprisingly picturesque, where you can live in a camping site at an altitude of about 3000 meters.
What rocks entertainment - do not forget that you are close to Las Vegas, the "Mecca of gambling", where l di from around the world are flocking to try their luck in the casino. The work of approximately 20% of the state's population is somehow connected with the gambling business. Agree, it would be rather strange to visit here and not try to play at least once. Las Vegas is also the most convenient place for those who want to see the Grand Canyon in Arizona and go to California to the San Diego Zoo.
Fans of outdoor activities will surely like camping, fishing and hiking. There are two national parks in the state - the above-mentioned Great Basin park and the Death Valley park, where you can stop with your tent or take it straight away (but do not forget to get permission from the park administration), the Wheeler Peak glacier and many mountain peaks, from which a beautiful view opens.
In winter, tourists go to Lake Tahoe to ski and "board", because there are more than 15 ski resorts, in the summer - for fishing and water recreation. Lake Pirmid is also suitable for fishing, in addition, there are fewer tourists, in a word, an ideal option for those who prefer a quiet holiday. Staying at the same time is better and cheaper in Reno, as the Tahoe hotels are more expensive, and the lake is only 20 minutes away from the city. And on Tahoe you can rent bicycles
Well, of course, in any city of Nevada there is everything for golf and tennis lovers (golf especially), though it will be worth it.
Other Attractions: Red Rock Canyon, the most beautiful 900-meter escarpment of the western edge of the river valley in the thickets of the Joshua Tree, 70 km southeast of the center of Vegas, the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and Tahoe, Indian Museum near Vegas, Spring-Preserve and, of course, the Elvis Museum.
Events
In June, Rodeo, then The Hot August Nights in July, The West Nugget Rib Cook-off in August, The Street Vibrations Motorcycle Festival in September, The Great Reno Balloon Race in September. In addition, in Black Rock City, the Burning man Festival, one of the world's most famous festivals of "radical self-expression", is held annually. Other events: the bright garnet festival near Vegas, as well as the Scottish festival in Lamb Park.
The pleasure from the bright events and holidays of Nevada is colossal, it's not for nothing that Americans and Canadians flock here, but also tourists from around the world, from 50 up to 200 thousand people a week. Photo of Nevada (20)
