Do I need to get a visa if I plan to stay in Vietnam for 15 days instead of 15, provided the hotel is booked independently and resides in the country as a tourist?

Responds Maria Ilyukhina, "World of Transactions" company, $ $

For Russian citizens, an entry visa is required for a visit to Vietnam for more than 15 days. Your stay at the hotel is the basis for entry. On it it is possible to issue a visa to Vietnam.

If you do not issue a visa and stay in Vietnam without a visa on the 16th day, then this will be considered a gross migration violation.

Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
Despite the fact that only one day will be overdue, you still have to get a visa. And this can be done upon arrival in Vietnam.

For more information on obtaining a Vietnamese visa, see the Visa to Vietnam page.
