Rila Mountain Range
If we try to characterize this part of the Rila-Rodpsky massif, then the word "most" will be the most accurate. Rila is the highest mountain range in Bulgaria with the oldest ski resort in the country Borovets, a number of the most famous sights in the world, including the famous Rila Monastery, which is under the protection of UNESCO, and quite "soft" compared to other European mountains, the climate (the most the low temperature was around -11ºC).

Pamporovo

Here, better than anywhere else in Bulgaria, an infrastructure is developed that allows snowboarding or mountain skiing without constant care for vital things. Other resorts
Other, slightly less well-known skiing areas are located on Vitosha Mountain, 10 km from Sofia. The thickness of the snow cover here reaches one and a half meters. The average temperature in winter is -6 ºС. Season of rest is stretched for a period of more than three months.
