There are 13 airports in Bulgaria, 4 of which have the status of passenger international. Direct flights from Russia take 3 of them, those located in Burgas, Varna, Sofia. At the international airport in Plovdiv (it is often called "Krumov", the international code PDV) aircrafts from Moscow once landed, but this direction is now closed.
The most direct flights, both regular and charter, take the airports of Varna (the letter code VAR) and Burgas (BOJ, the second name of this airport is Sarafovo). Airplanes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Samara, Novosibirsk and some other cities are landing on their takeoff strips.
