Now no one can imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower, and most Parisians if not loved it, then, at any rate, managed to reconcile with it .But it was not always so - after the construction it caused strong discontent among the overwhelming majority of citizens who found it extremely awkward .Hugo and Maupassant, for example, repeatedly insisted that the tower should be removed from the streets of Paris, and Morris William (who, incidentally, was not a Parisian), constantly expressing displeasure with her appearance, explained his habit of dining in a tower restaurant by the fact that it the only place in the city from which it is not visible..
Nevertheless, for most tourists the Eiffel Tower invariably causes justified admiration. Even after one hundred and twenty years it remains the tallest building in Paris and the fifth tallest in all of France. And despite its majestic dimensions, it is rather elegant - its total weight does not exceed 10 thousand tons, it puts pressure on the ground equal to the pressure of a person sitting on a chair, and in the molten form its metal part would occupy an area of 25 by 5 meters and total 6 centimeters in height.
Night illumination of the Eiffel Tower
In addition, the Eiffel Tower is probably the only building in the world that has its own patented color - brown eiffel, giving the tower a bronze shade .Until then, the tower changed several colors - it was yellow, and red-brown, and ocher colors .Recently, the tower is repainted every 7 years, and this procedure was conducted 19 times .For each painting, about 60 tons of paint are needed (as well as about one and a half thousand brushes and two hectares of protective mesh), so over time the tower still continues to gain weight .
In fact, the Eiffel Tower is not one-color, as it may seem at first. It is painted in three different shades of bronze - from the darkest on the first level to the lighter one on the third. This is done to make the tower look more harmonious against the sky.

The Eiffel Tower is the main attraction of Paris. We simply could not not visit it, because it is very important to get acquainted with the famous places of the city. My beloved and I planned a trip to Eurotour long ago, we only needed to save money and choose our free time to travel to Europe. We first visited the Eiffel Tower, and climbed it. True, the upstairs is quite windy, but the view is magnificent! From a distance, especially in the evening, the tower glows and can be seen from afar .... Read the entire review

In Paris, my husband and I were in October 2013. The trip plan was very busy, as I wanted to see a lot. And of course, I could not help but highlight one day to visit the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, at this time, autumn has already entered its rights, and Paris met us with a piercing cold wind and drizzling rain. One day we decided to go to the tower on a rented car. What can I say. It is better to get there by subway. Around the tower there is nowhere to park. If you still go ... Read the whole review

France has always been associated with the city of love and fashion. I really wanted to come to France to see the beauty of this amazing country with my own eyes. In January of this year I managed to visit Paris, as well as see the famous Eiffel Tower alive. The first time I saw the French tower in the afternoon, and somehow even disappointed. Firstly, it was raining, and somehow I did not want to walk, but I had not time to just sit in the hotel. Secondly, in the daytime the Eiffel Tower looks ... Read the whole review

Paris, of course, many associate with the Eiffel Tower. She, like the legendary statue of freedom in New York or Big Ben in London, is a must visit for all visitors. I, being with friends in Paris, also visited the famous tower. I want to say that in the daytime the tower does not cause rapture or some admiration. She even I would say looks rather strange and gray. But at night the Eiffel tower I liked, it all glowed, looks so elegant and beautiful! Attracts attention at once, ... Read the whole review

Paris - Paris. To be here and not to see the Eiffel Tower is simply not realistic. Going on a bus tour of Europe, we were able to admire the sights of Paris. Naturally the first of these was the Eiffel Tower. In fact, it's just a metal structure. Yes, interesting forging, but to be honest, she was not particularly impressed with me, there was more delight from the realization that we are in the heart of Paris, and the tower opposite us is only confirmation. We had to stand in line to get up ... Read the whole review

Probably, something is wrong with me, but dreaming of Paris, the Eiffel Tower did not attract me at all. I perceived it purely as a rough reinforced concrete structure, and therefore left a visit to this landmark on the last day in Paris. Perhaps, my artistic and architectural education affected me. I must say, I changed my mind after seeing the tower alive.
In order to get to this place, I took the metro to the station "Ecole Militaire", and went through all ... Read the whole review

Probably all people on the planet know about the Eiffel Tower, since it is the most famous tower. When we went to Paris, we had the following sights on our list, which we were sure to visit: the Louvre, Versailles, etc. Headed this list of course the Eiffel Tower. The tower is visible from almost all corners of Paris. You can climb the tower by elevator or on foot, but the lift ticket office had a huge queue and only one elevator worked. Also bad is that the Eiffel Tower is not among the free ... Read the full review

To visit Paris and not to see the famous Eiffel Tower is simply unrealistic, because it looks almost from anywhere in the city. When I toured Europe, the program included a visit to Paris and an excursion to the Eiffel Tower. We approached her day and night, and I want to say that at night she looks much brighter and more beautiful than in the daytime, as numerous lights are lit on her. We went up to level 2, because on 3 there was a huge queue and the entrance to it costs several euros more ... Read the whole review

Before the Efel Tower, you can get on the Paris metro: "Bir-Hakeim" (6 branches), "Trocad? ro "(6 and 9 of the metro line)," Ecole Militaire "(8 branches)," Champ de Mars - Tour Eiffel "(RER, line C). RER are trains that are different from metro trains by name and because they go beyond Paris. Opening hours of the Eifel Tower: from 9.30 to 23.45. Usually on the rise in this tower is built up a long queue. We spent in waiting in the queue for about an hour.
What can you do in the Eifelen Tower: - You can climb ... Read the whole review
