The Hungarian Parliament, despite the protests of retailers, voted for the ban on the work of the country's major stores on Sundays. In connection with this decision, protest actions are held throughout the country.

Prime Minister of Hungary Victor Orban believes that the ban on work on Sundays will promote the full rest of local citizens with families, instead of walking through numerous shopping centers and supermarkets. Every fifth Hungarian, according to statistics, spends weekends in shopping trips.

Retailers, in turn, declare that the ban on work will entail the dismissal of 20 thousand employees throughout the country.
