When and what changes occurred in the requirements for invitations to Israel?

On September 20, 2008, an agreement between Russia and Israel on the cancellation of guest and tourist visas came into effect.

To all the accredited tour operators in the Embassy of the State of Israel, the consular department sent a letter with recommendations asking to take into account that in accordance with international practice the final decision on the authorization to enter a person to the territory of a foreign country (regardless of visa or visa-free regime) is accepted by the border services and other competent authorities of the State of entry directly at the crossing of the state border.

On passport control in Israel, not everyone reads in Russian, so we recommend having an invitation in English or in Hebrew. If no invitations were asked at the border, this does not mean that the invitation is not needed. To take or not to take an invitation with you is a private matter for everyone. We provide our tourists with the documents that are necessary to enter Israel.

There are cases of deportation even when people had entry visas to Israel - they were not isolated cases. Therefore, we recommend that you have as many documents as possible, because at the passport control in Israel you can call the hotel or the citizen of Israel to the host company and specify - and are the people waiting there?
