What is the turn on the border of Latvia and Russia?
Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
On the Latvia-Russia border, there are 5 ground pass points through which one can get from one country to another. This:
- Brunishev-Pededze. Basically, there are gasoline tankers, customs officers are working slowly.
- Ludonka-Vientuli. The road passes through Pytalovo. Russian cars try to miss without delays, although at the border all are equal and in the end make up one turn. People are especially many during the daytime.
- Ubylinka-Grebneva. The queue is almost the same as Ludonka-Vientuli. Do not buy a queue. If they see you, they'll make a noise and make you pay a fine.
- Burachki-Terekhovo is the busiest customs station on which multi-kilometer traffic jams are formed. Sometimes, to cross the border here, you need to stand for at least 2 days. On other routes it will take much less time.
In any case, the queue basically depends on the day of the week (weekends or weekdays, holidays) and time of day.
