Visa application
Required documents:
- a foreign passport with a validity not less than three months from the end of the trip, in which there are at least two free pages;
- photocopy of the first page of the passport with personal data;
- a copy of all the completed pages of the internal passport (its original must be carried during the visit to the consulate);
- two color photos 3, 5x4, 5 cm;
- completed online questionnaire, which must be printed and signed
- a certificate from the work of the tourist with the indication of the position, the date of employment, the average monthly salary, the terms of the vacation;
- the original and a copy of the health insurance policy, valid on the territory of the Schengen countries with a minimum insurance coverage of 30 000 EUR;
- documents confirming the availability of financial means for the duration of the trip (bank statements from accumulative or current accounts (movement of funds during the last 3 months), traveler's checks) at the rate of 30 LVL (45 EUR);
- a copy of air or railway tickets confirming the route;
- hotel booking confirmation.
Private entrepreneurs need to provide a copy of the company registration document and a copy of the certificate of payment of taxes. If an applicant for a visa is unemployed, a pensioner or a student, a document confirming the availability of funds and the source of their receipt will be required.
For children under 14 years - a copy of the birth certificate, certified by the seal of the travel agency, for children under 18 years traveling with one of the parents, you need a notarized original consent for the child's departure from the second parent. A visa is issued free of charge for children under 6 years old.
The usual visa to Latvia is issued about 7 working days, its cost is 35 EUR. An urgent visa is issued for 3 days and costs 70 EUR.
In addition, Russian citizens can send visa applications to the consular section of the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Moscow, pay a consular fee and get passports after through the branches of Pony Express in 69 cities of the country.
