Lake Bled is located 32 km from Ljubljana airport, at the foot of the Julian Alps, at an altitude of 501 m above sea level. It is fed by warm sources, which at the same time supply water for indoor swimming pools in hotels. In summer the lake warms up to +18 .. + 24 ° C, and in winter it freezes only in severe frosts, which is not often. The resort is an ideal place for a comfortable family holiday. Here the magnificent nature is combined with interesting monuments of architecture and thermal springs. The swimming season starts in July and lasts until early September.

Beaches of Bled
On the lake there are two city beaches, the entrance to the equipped beach (located opposite the Park Hotel) is paid, and on the unequipped beach (in front of the Villa Bled Hotel) is free. As a rule, hotels here do not have their own beaches (the exception is the hotel "Grand Toplice"). In the summer months the beaches are quite crowded.
Trails Bled
Each winter, the surroundings of Lake Bled become a major ski center in Slovenia, the season lasts from late December to early March. The local routes are suitable for beginners and "middle peasants", the nearest one is located 150 meters from the city center. The length of this route is about 820 m, the height difference is 500-635 m, from all the hotels of the resort there is a free bus to it.
However, the main skiing takes place on the roads of Kobla - Vogel - Kranjska Gora, located 18-25 km from the resort. With Bled they are connected constantly with skiing bass and a general ski pass.
Bled Hotels
Most of the lake hotels have a category of 3-4 stars, but you can find both hostels and luxury "fives". Hotels, mostly, are molded to the eastern shore of the lake, on the western side there is only a camping site, and on the southern one there are only a couple of hotels spaced apart from each other, which can be very pleasant for lovers of seclusion.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Lake Bled
The resort has mountain bike rental facilities, tennis courts. Near the lake there is a golf center and a farm where you can ride horses. In the city there is a Sports Palace with an artificial ice rink, a concert hall, an entertainment center, a casino, many cafes and restaurants. On the lake you can hire a boat or go fishing.
