A sharp decline in the rate of UAH led to the fact that tourists from Ukraine faced massive denials of Schengen visas, as income was too low in terms of EUR.
Ukrainian media report mass refusals due to the fact that the minimum income for obtaining Schengen should be 400 EUR: for many Ukrainians the amount was unattainable due to a significant weakening of the national currency.
In connection with the latest developments, the rate of the UAH constantly updates the historical minimums, while the growth of wages hardly has to wait because of the economic crisis.
