Will it be easier to get an American B2 visa if I only need to go to the island of Puerto Rico, I'm not going to the continental US? I heard that sometimes they issue special US visas on a standard letterhead, but with a note "only for Puerto Rico". Are the requirements and the set of documents different in this case?
Responds Oksana Blida, company Unex
To visit the island states, dependent on the United States, you need a US tourist visa B2. There are no exceptions to the general rules for Puerto Rico.
The visa is issued according to general rules and requirements.
Responds Ivina Tverskaya, "World of Wanderings" company, $ $
A visa is required for visiting Puerto Rico, which is issued at the US Consulate.
The set of documents is the same as for B1 / B2 category visas:
- valid passport,
- 2 photos 5 by 5, colored on a white background,
- certificate from work with indication of position and salary,
- confirmation of stay in the country (hotel reservation, invitation).
