Tell me, please, should I get vaccinated against hepatitis A and B and malaria if I fly to Sao Paulo and board a ship for travel to Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Recife)? I am in Brazil for 4-5 days.
Answer Julia Kazmina
If you do not visit Amazonia, and you only have a cruise along the coast, then vaccinations are not required. There are no vaccines from malaria at all, only pills, but as mentioned above, if you are not in the Amazon (in the jungle), then you do not need to do vaccinations.

Mandatory vaccinations for Brazil are not required, such as yellow fever vaccination for some countries in Africa.
Vaccination against malaria does not exist yet, some travelers take tablets from malaria while in the area of possible infection.
Vaccinations from hepatitis A and B - only at personal discretion, they say, as well as when in Russia, this vaccination can be useful and will help to avoid infection.
