How to get to Borovets
Flight to Sofia, then transfer - an hour and a half (about 70 km); or a flight to Plovdiv, then a transfer of about two hours (130 km).
The way from Sofia can be reached by bus or minibus from the autostation "Yug" (departure every half hour), which follow up to Samokov (en route hour). From Samokovo every 15 minutes minibuses start to Borovets, where they stop at the hotel "Samokov" and go back to the city from the parking lot in front of the hotel "Ela".

By own car: from Sofia it is necessary to keep the course Gorublyane - Pancharevo - Samokov - Borovets. Borovets trails
Borovets conditionally divided into three skiing areas: Sitnyakovo, Yastrebets and Markudzhika. Sitnyakovo is suitable for beginners and intermediate-level athletes, and is also suitable for training. There are sites for slalom and for giant slalom. Yastrebets (1300-2369 m) is recommended to skiers - "serednyachkam", there is one "black" and three "red" tracks. The skiing area of Markudzhik (2208-2543 m) is for intermediate-level skiers: there are "blue" and "red" trails.
In addition, Borovets has 20 km of cross-country skiing tracks in the gondola lift area, ski jumps for 75 m and 50 m jumps, as well as good conditions for snowboarders (18 trails). And also: a 12-kilometer "Musalenskaya petka" for beginners and skiers of the middle level.
The resort has lifts:
- one gondola (length 4, 8 km, on the way 20 minutes)
- 4-seater cable car: Sitnyakovo Express, Yastrebets Express, Markudzhik 2 and Martinovy Baraki
- rope tows: Sitnyakovo, Markudzhik 1, Markudzhik 3, Markudzhik 0, Rila, Iglika and Rotata
All lifts are open from 9:00 to 16:30. There is an evening trail with a separate lift, which operates from 17:00 to 22:00.
Ski passes: one day costs 55 BGN from December to March and 44 BGN from the middle of March to the middle of April (operates on weekdays). On Saturday and Sunday, the cost is almost 40% lower. For a week of unlimited skating, 286 and 229 BGN are requested, respectively.
