Temple-monument to Alexander Nevsky, Sofia

The European travel portal GoEuro conducted a study to identify cities with the most inexpensive accommodation options. Site experts compared the cost of living in 60 thousand hotels of different categories, including hostels.

According to the results of the study, tourists wishing to save on accommodation or, for example, looking for budget travel options in connection with the devaluation of RUB, should pay attention to Eastern Europe and the Balkans. The most inexpensive destination in terms of accommodation was Sofia. The average cost of spending the night in the capital of Bulgaria is 29 EUR.

A little more expensive will cost hotels in Warsaw and Bucharest - about 31, 5 EUR. Approximately for the same money, you can find acceptable accommodation options in Belgrade. Interestingly, inexpensive hotels are also available in the popular Turkish resort of Antalya.
