According to the author of the idea, this initiative will help to avoid the outflow of Russian tourists from the island. At the same time, the head of Zening understands that the hotels are at risk. However, experts believe that the idea of ​​switching to settlements in the RUB can hardly be realized: in the EU there are unified rules for settlements. In addition, many hotels in Cyprus are already in a difficult situation due to the crisis.

According to preliminary estimates, the tourist flow of Russians to Cyprus in 2015 will increase by about 5%.
