The island of Cyprus is located in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea .As a component of the Mediterranean Sea, the Cyprus Sea is liberated .The north-eastern part of the Cyprus Sea (between Cyprus and Asia Minor) is called the Cilician Sea, the eastern (between Cyprus and the Middle East coast) - Levantine .The Cyprus Sea is considered to be one of the warmest and salty in the Mediterranean Sea .In connection with increased salinity, marine life mainly lives in coastal waters, in the southern part of the sea there are coral reefs .The water temperature varies from 15 to 19 degrees in January-May and November-December, from 22 to 27 degrees in the summer (from June to October) .Many beaches of Cyprus awarded the "Blue Flag" for the purity of water .
