Shannon (Shannon), the second largest city in Clare County, is located at the mouth of the river of the same name. It is the only city in Ireland founded after the Second World War (in 1960) in order to develop the regional economy. So it's no wonder that there is really nothing to look at in the city itself - which can not be said about the surroundings. But Shannon International Airport is the ideal starting point for traveling around the country.

The construction of the city is inextricably linked with Shannon International Airport and Shannon Free Industrial Zone, where the largest technology companies are located: Shannon Aerospace, Molex, Intel, Avocent and Element 6.
