Ambositra (Ambositra) is a city located 89 km south of Antsirabe and is the center of the local handicraft industry - the art of woodcarving. The city is surrounded by rice fields and low hills, each house is decorated with carved wooden shutters and balconies.
How to get to Ambositra
There are two bus stations in the city. From the first, northern, take a shuttle in Antsirabe (2 hours, 5000 MGF) and the capital Tana (5 hours, 7000 MGF). This bus station is located on the edge of the city, 2 km from the center. From the south bus station (near the restaurant L'Oasis) buses go to Fianarantsoa (5 hours, 6000 MGF) and other cities in the south.
