Tarapoto
One of the most important cities of the Amazon is Tarapoto, which is located between the rivers Shiklayo and Kumbas. It is named after a variety of palm trees: Taraputus (Tarapoto is also known as the city of palms). Refreshing cascades of numerous waterfalls: Auasheyaku, Mamonakua and Wakamaiyo give rise to rainbow arcs, and the shores of the lakes: Venice, America, Limoncoca, Lago Sousse (Laguna Azul), Lago Lindo - a wonderful place for picnics.
