The Gubałowka ski resort is located at an altitude of 1123 meters above sea level in the north-western part of Zakopane. On the eastern side of Gubałówka there is the highest mountain village of Poland - Ząb and passes the western border with the peak of Butorovy Ver.

How to get to Gubalowka
Trains from Kraków (journey time 3 h 30 min) and Warsaw (6 h 30 min) arrive regularly in Zakopane. Also from Kraków, buses run every 30-40 minutes (2 hours). In addition to the routes from major cities in Zakopane, you can take a bus from Nowy Sącz (3 hours), Przemysl (4 hours 30 minutes), Rzeszów (4 hours 30 minutes), Lodz (6 hours), Katowice (3 hours) and Nowy- Target (30 min).
You can get to the top of Gubałówka from the central part of Zakopane by a funicular that covers a distance of 1298 meters in three and a half minutes.

Climate
The climate of Zakopane is characterized as mountainous. The coldest month is January with a temperature of 4-5 degrees below zero, the warmest month is July with a temperature of 14-15 degrees.
Tracks of Gubałówka
The Gubalowka Range stretches for 9 kilometers and has a flat top that stretches from Kothelnitsa to Butorovy Top. Since 1936, 108-car rail cars raises tourists to a height of 1120 meters. The rest of the ski lifts and trails are located on the southern slope of Gubałówka and on the southeast slope of its tip in Kotelnica.
Along the ridge on the northeast slope of Gubalowki there are several private rope lifts.
For snowboarders in the Upper Glade (southern slope of Gubalowka), built Half = pipe. A total of 6 trails were laid on Gubałówka: 2 red and 4 blue, and several training slopes.
The total length of the trails is 6.4 km, and the longest stretches for 1600 m. The maximum elevation difference is 300 m. The trails are predominantly blue and green, in the evening artificial lighting works. The funicular runs from 6:45 to 20:50, the rest lifts - from 10.00 to the last skier.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Gubałówki
In Zakopane there is a water park with open and closed swimming pools, water slides, saunas and bowling, and on the way to Krakow you can jump into the town of Rabka-Zdroj, where the amusement park Rabkoland is located.
12 km south-east of Zakopane is one of the most popular attractions of the entire ski resort - Lake Morskoye Oko. You can reach the lake by bus or minibus, which depart from Kościuszki Street and follow up to Polyana Palenica (journey time 30 minutes). Further to the lake there is a 9 km long road, the entrance to which is prohibited, therefore it is necessary to walk on it (walking time about 2 hours one way). As an alternative, you can hire a horse-drawn carriage. The last bus in Zakopane leaves between 17:00 and 18:00.
Not far from Zakopane at the foot of the Peninsky Mountains on the right bank of the Dunajec there is the castle of Niedzica, erected in 1320-1326. Now in the castle there is a museum with a collection of ancient printed editions and engravings with views of the castle in different periods of history, a collection of ancient clocks and hunting weapons of the 18-19th centuries. In 1954, the peninsula National Park was established on the territories enclosing the castle.
