The Kasprowy Wierch ski complex is located in the Western Tatras on the very border with Slovakia and rises above the Bystra, Dry Hansa and Tikhaya Liptovskaya valleys. The name "Kasprowy Top" comes from the mountainous pasture of Kasprowy lying on its foot, on which mountain inhabitants have grazed their cattle since ancient times. According to legend, the owner of the pasture was the mountaineer Casper.
Kasprowy Top (1987 m) has gained popularity among fans of ski tourism since 1910. The rope suspension road was conducted here in 1935-1936. and is considered the oldest in Europe. In 1938 a meteorological observatory was built in Kasprowy Verkh, which is considered to be the tallest building in Poland.

How to get
You can get to Zakopane by train from Krakow (traveling time 3 h 30 min) and Warsaw (6 h 30 min), as well as by bus from Krakow (2 h), Nowy Sacz (3 h), Przemysl (4 h 30 min), Rzeszow (4 h 30 min), Lodz (6 h), Katowice (3 h) and Nowy Targ (30 min).
The first stage of the cable car to Kasprowy Ver is located 7 km from the center of Zakopane. Three "cable cars" lead to the top of the mountain - one follows from the station Kuznitsa, two from the stations of the valley Gonzenitsova and the valley Gorychkova.

Climate
The climate of Zakopane is characterized as mountainous. The coldest month is January with a temperature of 4-5 degrees below zero, the warmest month is July with a temperature of 14-15 degrees. The Zakopane Basin is characterized by high humidity - the greatest amount of precipitation falls in the period from June to July, the smallest in February.
Season skiing in Kasprowy Upper begins from mid-December and lasts until early May.
Highways Kasprowy Upper
The roads of Kasprowy Top are laid along the northern and northeastern slopes of the mountain. The most famous of them stretch from Kasprowy Top to Pig, to Orel Pepper and to the tops of Krasny Verkh and Gansenitsov Mountain Pastures. Elevation drop to 930 meters, the longest route stretches for 7 km. Trails are complex, mostly black.
The complex is open from 8:00 (9:00) to 15:00 (17:40) depending on the season.
Entertainment, Excursions and Attractions of Kasprowy Top
From the terrace, located near the cable car station, a stunning panorama to the tops of the Crimea and Svinitsa, the Kostelica Massif and the Gonzenitovy Cauldron opens up.
The most popular places of interest not far from Zakopane are the emerald-green Lake Morskie Oko and the castle of Niedzica. The lake can be reached by bus or minibus, departing regularly from the street Kościuszki and following up to Polyana Palenica (journey time 30 minutes). Further to the castle is a nine-kilometer track, which will have to be overcome on foot, since the transport entrance to it is prohibited.
The castle of Niedzica, dating from the beginning of the 14th century, is now a museum. The collection of the museum is represented by ancient printed editions and engravings with views of the castle in different periods of history, a collection of ancient clocks and hunting weapons of the 18-19th centuries. In 1954, the Peninsky National Park was established on the territories adjoining the castle.
