Add a comment about the high-speed train "Sapsan"

What is it: a bird of prey from the falcon family and an ultra-high-speed train connecting the capital of our country with the foggy Peter and the "Pocket of Russia" - a cheerful city of fairs and bazaars in Nizhny Novgorod? Of course, we are talking about "Sapsan", which since 2009 runs between the capital and the northern capital, and since 2010 - delivers tourists to the distant ancient Nizhny Novgorod and vice versa.

The speeds developed by the Sapsan trains can be envied by many European trains, which is no wonder: the authorship of the ravenous railway bird belongs to the famous Siemens company. A bizarre name is also not an explanation, because Peregrine Falcons are the fastest bird in the world.

Sapsan is able to reach speeds of up to 350 km / h, but due to safety regulations and regulations, it is not allowed to travel on Russian railroads faster than 250 km / h. In the future, it is planned to increase the speed in some areas to a dashing 330 km / h. And, by the way, despite its European origin, Sapsan is imprisoned exclusively for Russia. For example, the train is capable of operating at temperatures down to -50 ° C, and its interior is wider by almost 30 cm. Which, of course, is associated with a wider gauge rail.

As a rule, all "Peregrine Falcons" consist of 10 wagons capable of accommodating 506 passengers. (Although recently two trains run between Peter and Moscow.) Traditionally, Sapsan includes one first class car, one business class car, seven economy cars and one bistro car.

Thanks to modern noise-insulating materials, as well as soft flooring, these trains, alas, will not give lovers of railway romance languid minutes alone with "tydyh-tydy": inside the composition is very quiet.

But let's talk in more detail about the location of the passenger - that is, about his chair .All of them have adjustable backrests, footrests, a reading lamp, folding tables and armrests .The first and business class can boast of leather upholstery, in the economy - fabric, no less comfortable, by the way .Around - nice pastel wall tones and panoramic windows with sunblinds .Draw winter patterns on the misted glass will not succeed: they are specially heated by circulating warm air .But in the summer no one will perish from the stuffiness - the comfortable climate in the cars is supported by the electronic climate system .Summer and winter temperatures stay at around + 22 ° C .

Your things can be placed both above the seat, where there is a luggage rack for small bags, and in a special luggage compartment that every car has. Of the additional chips: apparatus for cleaning shoes in 3 cars, changing table in the toilet of the 6th car and a toilet for passengers with limited mobility in the middle of the train. And, of course, the bistro car, which is located in the central part of the train. Here you can have a snack while standing at a bar table or sit down at one of the 10 tables.

But it's time to talk about the timetable and the approximate fare on the Sapsan. At the end of 2014, Sapsan performs seven daily flights from Moscow to St. Petersburg and back, as well as two flights a day from the capital to Nizhny Novgorod and vice versa.

The fare depends on the season, seasonality and class of travel. On average, a ticket from Moscow to St. Petersburg in the business class will cost 6000 RUR, in the economy - 3000 rubles. For a place on the route Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod will have to pay 4500 EUR in business and 1500 RUR in the economy. From the capital to Tver and Vladimir tickets are approximately the same - about 3000 RUR for business class and 1000-1500 RUR for economy.
