What are the ski resorts in Slovakia?

Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
The most popular ski resorts in Slovakia can be classified territorially in the High and Low Tatras. Tatras, the highest part of the Carpathian Mountains, occupy the north of the country and have long attracted the attention of lovers of skis and snowboards. The season starts here around the end of November and lasts through March inclusive. But at the same time it is considered that it is the Low Tatras that guarantee good snow to tourists in any year.

The best resort of this region is Jasna in the Demanovska Valley, popular are Donovaly, Myto under the mountain Dumbier, Thale. All of them provide trails for skiers of different levels of skill, from beginners to pros. (The latter should like Jasna.) There are opportunities for freeride, cross-country skiing, snowboarding (Donovaly is especially famous for this).

The resorts of the High Tatras include Poprad, Smokovec (New, Old, Mountain, Dolny), Tatranska Lomnica, Strbske Pleso, Podbanske. Here beginners or middle-level skiers come here more often, experienced there are fewer opportunities to turn around. But beginners and families with children feel quite comfortable here.
