The sequence of actions is:
- You need to go to www.gov.hk/marriagebooking and download a profile from there.
- Required are foreign passports and a completed application form (plus photocopies of passports are required). If before they were married, then it is necessary to provide divorce documents in English certified by a notary.
- One pair needs personally submit documents to any registry office in Hong Kong.
- When submitting documents, it is necessary to pay a state fee.
- After submitting documents, you will be given a date of marriage, in about 2-3 weeks.
- At the end of the procedure you will be given a certificate in English and Chinese.
You can try to apply only at www.gov.hk/marriagebooking, but as a rule, all the above points you have to do.
Required documents:
- Identity card (passport), which indicates the owner's data.
- A widow or widower who remarries must provide a previous marriage certificate and a death certificate of the spouse.
- Evidence of the consent of the person concerned if one of the parties is less than 21 years old.
- Information about the current occupation.
- Proof of Age (birth certificate).
- Full name of both parents for both parties.
- A document indicating the actual place and address of residence.
- A divorcee must submit a copy of the divorce certificate certified by the seal and a notarized copy certified by the notary.
