Yes, for a trip from Marmaris to the Greek island of Rhodes you need a Schengen visa. Earlier (in summer 2012) one-day visits to Rhodes were available without a visa, but now this provision does not work. It is possible that it will be reintroduced closer to the season, but it can not be guaranteed.
