How to get to Machu Picchu?

Responds information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
From Moscow to Machu Picchu, approximately 13,000 km. To do this, you must first arrive in the capital of Peru, Lima: there are no direct flights from Russia, you will have to fly with transplants in Madrid or Havana. The flight budget is about 700 USD. Then from Lima you need to get to Cuzco - the ancient capital of the Incas. This way can be overcome by airplane, or by bus.

From Cusco to Machu Picchu about 110 km. It is necessary by public transport or a taxi to reach the railway station of Pori in Cuzco or to the railway station "Ollanta" in the Sacred Valley. From there, take a tourist or regular train to Aguas Calientes. Trains of different classes are followed at intervals of 15 minutes, and follow up to Machu Picchu for 3 to 4 hours. At the destination, go to the bus stop and another 15 minutes by bus to the entrance to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, located at an altitude of 2400 m above sea level.

The same road from Cuzco can be reached by taxi. But it is much more interesting to go by rail, smoothly climbing up, while the motor road pretty much winds through the serpentines of the mountains.
